BE: What are the innovations happening in the construction equipment sector to reduce the impact on natural environment?

We are happy to notice that innovation is moving towards on reducing the carbon footprint in the construction equipment segment. With the same amount of fuel burnt and carbon emitted, the productivity of the equipment is increasing. Reducing on the noise in advanced equipment is a major breakthrough there by reducing sound pollution at construction sites. The innovations have helped in enhancing the reliability and life of the components.

BE: In what way according to you, construction mechanization can optimize productivity and probably is the only solution to encounter the skill shortage?

Indeed, mechanization optimizes productivity however, continuous training and skill upgradation of equipment operating staff is extremely important. Efficient equipment in the hands of an unskilled operator may reduce productivity and can lead to untoward incidents.

Over the last two decades the Construction Industry in India has advanced a lot. Unlike in olden days the industry today is more open to trying out new techniques & equipment. Construction equipment industry in India has played a major role in this change by its persistent effort and continuously introducing newer techniques and offering the latest equipment available in the global market.  The construction equipment industry plays active role in giving technical support, methodology as well as execution of the projects involving equipment usage.

BE: How do you analyze the growth of construction industry in the last five years in the frame work of construction equipment market?

Growth of construction industry and construction equipment market goes hand in hand. It has always been in the cycles of high growth and negative growth. Earlier the cycle time used to be of longer period with moderate growth and downturn however now the cycle time has reduced due to which growth as well as downturn also has become very acute.
